1988年だったと思う。

私は、教会の友人たちとボランティアのため、

フィリピンへ行った。

ミッショナリーな旅な目的だった。

フィリピンに行ったのは、2回目、最初の時は、

マイクモラスキーと行って、ビーチとかジャングルでゆっくり遊んでた。

2回目は、本当にこまめにいろんなところに行った…

行かされた^_^

Shuちゃんとノリコと！

この二人は本当に長い間、

友達でありがとうと言いたい！

とても暑い時期で、雨期で、ジメジメしていて、

いろいろなハプニングがあって、

苦難の道を進んでいったのを覚えている。

忘れられない2つの出来事のひとつは、

子どもたちの目が本当に輝いていて、

いく先々での交流が楽しかった。

そして、もうひとつはここで、ある村に行った時のこと。

その村は、たぶん、いく前から知らされていたのだろうが、

スラムで、その土地自体がゴミとか牛の糞とかでできているところだということ。

そこで、ボランティアを終わったのが、結構、夜遅くなり、

宿泊施設まで歩いて行くことになった。

なんか外は、匂いもすごかったのだけど、

街灯もないところを懐中電灯で歩いていった。

ある程度、進むと真っ暗闇の中から、ノリコだと思うけど、

「綺麗…」って声が聞こえた。

空を見上げると満天の星空が僕らを圧倒していた。

本当に空から星が落ちてくるみたいにすぐそこにあったミルキーウェイを見て、

私はすごく感動した。

星空が、宇宙が、僕たちを祝福していると思った。

そんな出来事にインスパイアされたのが、この曲。

I think that it was 1988.

I went to the Philippines for volunteering with my friends from the church.

It was a missionary trip.

I went to the Philippines for the second time.

The first time I went with Mike Molasky and

it was fun time that hanging around the time in the beach or in the jungle.

The second time, I went to various places,

moving all over the city to city... well I got to go ^ _ ^

With Shu and Noriko!

These two people really want to say thank you for being a friend for a long time!

It is a very hot season, and the rainy season, very humid. (suffocatingly）

I remember having various accident and happening and going along the way of suffering.

One of the two unforgettable events was that the eyes of the

Philippine children were really shining and I enjoyed interacting with each other.

And the unforgettable one is what happened when I went to a village.

Perhaps we were informed before we enter the village, it is slum area,

that the land itself is made of garbage or cattle feces.

So, finishing volunteering was quite late at night,

and we decided to walk to the accommodation facility.

Outside, the smell was amazing,

And I walked with a flashlight where there was no street light.

To some extent, it is dark from the darkness,

I think it was Norico, but I heard a voice

“Beautiful ...".

Looking up at the sky, the sky full of stars overwhelmed us.

I was impressed very much

when I saw the Milky Way…

which was there just like a star falling from the sky.

The starry sky and the universe is blessing us.

This song was inspired by such events.
